Getting there
How do you get to The Palm Tower?
Which entrance should you use?
First check what you actually booked. The Palm Tower contains several separate destinations. The View at The Palm starts at the attraction lobby and exhibition in Palm Jumeirah Mall, before an elevator takes visitors to the level 52 observation deck. AURA SKYPOOL is on level 50 and directs its guests to enter via St. Regis Dubai The Palm. A hotel room, a pool reservation and an observation-deck admission are not interchangeable.
Keep the confirmation for your specific experience open on your phone. Entrance points and arrival instructions are more useful than simply asking a driver for “the tower.”
Can you take the Palm Monorail?
Yes. The Palm Monorail serves Palm Jumeirah Mall, with a station connected to the mall area. Its route begins at Gateway near the Palm's entrance and continues toward Atlantis Aquaventure. From the mall, follow The View signs if you have an observation-deck booking. Confirm operating times and fares with the Palm Monorail station guide before travelling; do not assume the monorail operates late enough for your return trip.
If you are arriving by Dubai Metro, the metro itself does not stop at The Palm Tower. Plan the separate connection to the Palm, then take the monorail or a taxi rather than expecting a direct metro exit into the building.
How do you connect from the metro or tram?
Think of the journey as two parts: reaching Palm Jumeirah, then reaching the mall. The monorail operator lists a connection from Dubai Tram to Palm Gateway, the first monorail station. That is a transfer between services, not a through-train to The View. Use a current journey planner to choose your metro-to-tram connection from your starting point, and check the walking connection at Gateway before setting out.
A taxi can simplify the last part if you have luggage, limited time or difficulty with transfers. Compare the entire journey rather than only the train fare: station walks, waiting for the next service and finding the attraction lobby all take time. A group travelling together may value a direct drop-off more than separate transfers.
What if you take a taxi or drive?
For The View, give your driver Palm Jumeirah Mall, Palm Jumeirah and follow signs inside to the attraction. For AURA, its visitor instructions specify the St. Regis hotel entrance; use that destination when arranging a ride. If you drive, check the current parking arrangements with the mall or venue instead of relying on an old parking-price article.
What should you do after arriving at the mall?
- Check the venue name on your confirmation. A ticket for The View is not an AURA reservation or a hotel booking.
- Find The View signs or ask the information desk. The official attraction description locates the lobby and exhibit on the mall's east rooftop; follow the signed visitor route rather than a residential entrance.
- Keep the booking barcode ready. You still need time for entry checks before reaching the observation-deck lift.
- Plan your return journey. Check the monorail's last service or identify a suitable taxi pickup point before heading upstairs.
For AURA, the official arrival directions identify access through St. Regis. They also describe a mall connection on the first floor near the Al Ittihad Park entrance and Café Bateel. Follow current signs if the mall layout changes. This distinction matters most when someone else is arranging your ride.
Which arrival option best fits your trip?
Choose the monorail if the ride itself is part of your sightseeing and its timetable suits both directions. Choose a taxi if a simpler door-to-venue journey is more important. If you need a step-free route, do not assume that a station connection guarantees an accessible path through every entrance: use our wheelchair-access planning checklist and confirm the full route with the venue.
Before you leave
- Allow extra time for the mall-to-entrance walk and any queue before your reserved time.
- Check the booking confirmation for the correct entrance and arrival window.
- Travelling to the observation deck? Read our visit-length guide to leave enough time for the exhibition and terrace.
- Travelling to the pool? See the separate Aura Skypool visitor guide for its guest rules.
Bottom line: choose your entrance by experience: mall for The View, St. Regis access for AURA. Transport schedules and venue instructions can change, so confirm both before setting out.
